Saturday 11 June, 2pm-4pm, Milton Abbey School - Free admission
The annual Friends of Milton Abbey School Summer Fete returns on 11th June promising a fun-filled afternoon out for the whole family.
From local arts and crafts to train rides, games and a bouncy castle, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! Raising money for the School's nominated charities, Julia's House and Walking With The Wounded.
Dorset Artsreach - The Eyecatcher
Thursday 16 June, 7.30pm, New Barn Theatre - Tickets £10/£6 To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, Artreach will bring their one-man theatrical show about 'England's greatest gardener' to Milton Abbey, the home of one of Capability Brown's own landscapes.
The Eyecatcher is an affectionate, comic, visually stimulating appraisal of the life and gardens of Lancelot Brown, following his life as his mixes with the outlandish and outrageous gentry of 18th century England, crisscrossing the land as his particular style of renovating country gardens catches fire.
Milton Abbey International Music Festival and Summer School
Monday 25 - Sunday 31 July
The Milton Abbey International Music Festival and Summer School returns for its fourth summer, with a spectacular array of concerts from world-renowned artists spanning the entire week.
Two week-long courses are available, both with resident options: the Young Musicians' Course for ages 8-13 years and the Choral Course for ages 14+
