SEA SPIRIT has the unique ability (compared to other tour boats) to cruise close inshore under the layered Jurassic Cliff areas the Great Landslip, Black Venn and Charmouth to give unbelievable coastline vistas which photographers can take full advantage of.

Lyme Rib Rides can deliver a leisurely-paced scenic COASTAL CRUISE that is suitable for the whole family which takes in between 7 and 14 miles of the stunning Jurassic World Heritage Coastline and millions of years of history and prehistory. For the more adventurous thrill-seekers out there, our SPECIAL FAST RIB RIDES will get the adrenaline pumping! Helmed by highly experienced skippers, our custom-built RIB the SEA SPIRIT boasts a 500HP engine and it is the FASTEST TOUR BOAT IN LYME BAY, so do come along with us for an exhilarating and an unbeatable high-speed ride that you WILL WANT TO REPEAT ALL SUMMER LONG! 

 

So, if you happen to organise outings for local groups or for our many holiday camps, just arrange for everyone to hop onto the fabulous and cheap X53 bus service, which runs all the way from Poole to Exeter, and then they can then also admire the stunningly beautiful views all along Dorset's winding coastal roads, from the great vantage point of the top of a British double-decker bus! 

 

DOLPHIN, SEA BIRDS AND MARINE LIFE SAFARIS & GUIDED COASTAL TOURS

At certain times of the year we also offer Dolphin and Wildlife Sea Safaris and Guided Coastal Tours with local experts who will give you an informative commentary as we move along the coast from west to east. (Further information will be available shortly).

 

PRIVATE HIRE

Our boat SEA SPIRIT is also available for private hire and commercial charter with the most competitive hire rates in the bay. It has the ability to operate at speed, giving a thrilling ride if requested or we can comfortably cruise or to even drift slowly along with the tide to easily capture breathtaking photos of the Jurassic Coastline.

 

Individuals, family groups, schools, friends, hen, stag and end-of-term parties, work groups on team-building exercises, club outings, educational group hire, TV crews and photography, geology and nature groups are all most welcome! Lyme RIB Rides' SEA SPIRIT is suitable and comfortable for all ages, from supervised children (book us for a fun party with a difference) to adventurous senior citizens. Please note that some restrictions may apply, so call us if you have any questions. We can fully-customise journeys for groups who may want to stay out on the water for longer or who would perhaps like to provide a water taxi service to relay guests to an event in one of the nearby towns or villages.

 All of our friendly staff are fully-qualified and will help you on and off the boat which can be found operating from its own pontoon at the end of the harbour, along the famous Cobb.

 

OPENING TIMES:

We are usually open daily from 10am-8pm for as long as the summer season lasts, which can be well into September and October.

You are most welcome to just turn up and we will do our best to get you onto the next available boat trip but during the height of the summer season, if we have a private booking, or if we experience adverse weather, we just cannot always guarantee our availability, so please, to ENSURE that spaces are available, we advise that you simply confirm that we ARE operating by calling us directly on 07790 400 300, before setting off especially.
